Columbus is one of Ohio’s most exciting cities; the popular downtown area offers a variety of attractions and locals are able to enjoy the city year round. Many know the city for offering an abundance of public parks along with having one of the top zoos in the country. What many don’t know is that Columbus is home to a variety of outdoor patios to enjoy a fresh meal and a refreshing drink. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, or just grabbing drinks with friends, Columbus has plenty of outdoor patios to choose from; check out just a few of our suggestions!
Seventh Son Brewing Co.
Columbus Underground calls Lindey’s patio area one of the most attractive in the Columbus area. Having a nice view is nothing without a tasty menu. Lindey’s menu is updated weekly, leaving visitors coming back for more. They are known for their brunch menu, that includes classics such as french toast and smoked salmon, along with original Lindey’s meals.
Lindey’s has a great brunch menu, but a quick look at their lunch and dinner menus is enough to consider a trip regardless of the time of day. They also have a happy hour from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Columbus is home to plenty of breweries for visitors to enjoy. Seventh Son Brewing Co. has been open for roughly five years and offers a unique patio experience. This is the perfect spot to mingle with friends during a happy hour or after dinner.
Seventh Son Brewing also offers an exciting food truck experience. The food truck schedule varies from day to day, but you can always count on being able to grab something to eat to go along with your brew. There’s no need to worry about the weather, either. Seventh Son’s patio has expanded and now offers a second level with a retractable roof.
Milestone 229 has one of the best atmospheres in Columbus. The patio offers a beautiful view of Bicentennial Park and is the perfect place to catch the fountain shows. It’s more than just a great patio, though. Milestone 229 has a large menu that will satisfy everyone in your group. They have pizza, salads, seafood and many of the classics like mac and cheese to choose from.
Columbus Underground gave it a stellar review: “Milestone 229 is the perfect outdoor gathering spot for you and your friends based on the menu and the views alone.”
BrewDog has quickly become one of most popular spots in Columbus. Much like Seventh Son Brewing Co, it supplies a large sum of fresh beers (48 on tap to be exact). Along with BrewDog‘s long beer menu, there is a full food menu that is updated and changed according to the season.
The BrewDog patio is made of 2-floors, so there is plenty of room for you and your group to stop for a refreshing drink. They also offer a variety of tours; we recommend the Beer & Cheese Tour featuring cheese from the local creamery, Black Radish.
It’s hard to turn down a day spent at a rooftop bar. Vaso is currently one of the most trendy rooftops in Columbus and sits atop the AC Hotel. Vaso has a beautifully modern look and boasts incredible views of the trees along the Scioto River.
Unlike the previously listed breweries, Vaso is known for their cocktails. This is the perfect spot to unwind after a long week. They also offer a pretty unique menu, which is reasonably priced. From small plates to seafood, Vaso can certainly cure your hunger.
