Since 1964, the famous Festival in the Park has brought both locals and visitors together to celebrate the arts through crafts, music and family-friendly entertainment. Every year, this Charlotte tradition highlights the work of 200 arts and crafts exhibitors and also features nearly 1000 entertainers, all presented in a simple, relaxed and beautiful outdoor atmosphere.

If you are in Charlotte, visiting Festival in the Park is a must. This wholesome family event is designed to promote interest in the arts and support local artisans and entertainers. Selected as one of Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events, don’t miss out on this year’s Festival in the Park. Here are a few things you should know before your visit:

  • Location: Freedom Lake Park
  • Dates: September 20-22, 2019
  • Schedule: Friday, September 20th, 2019 – 4:00pm – 9:00pm
    • Saturday, September 21st, 2019 – 10:00am – 9:00p
    • Sunday, September 22nd, 2019 – 10:00am – 5:00pm
  • Participants: 20,000 – 50,000 visitors expected and an estimated 500 exhibitors to be featured
  • General Rules: Dogs, skateboarding, and roller-blading are not permitted inside the event. In addition, scooters and bikes must be walked to ensure the safety and convenience of all guests.
